Design Goals
  • Elevate Oxford Scholastica Academy's (OSA) digital presence with a premium visual identity and intuitive website experience that reflects the quality of its educational programs.

  • Celebrate the people behind OSA by creating a website that highlights student achievements, alumni success, faculty expertise, and the personalized support that sets the academy apart.

Key Challenges
  • Organize extensive content into a clear, scalable user experience while maintaining consistency across a large website.

  • Balancing the existing brand recognition with a modern visual evolution by expanding the colour palette, typography, and supporting brand elements that appeals to ambitious students and parents.

Outcome
  • Built a cohesive brand experience by extending the visual identity across the website, marketing campaigns, and emails, creating consistency wherever prospective students and families interacted with the brand.

  • Elevated the digital experience through thoughtful visual hierarchy, brand expression, and a cohesive design system that reinforced OSA's premium positioning.

Process

The project began with collaborative brand exploration, where multiple moodboards were developed and refined through client feedback to establish the final creative direction.

The visual language is inspired by distinctive gothic tracery that decorates the windows found among Oxford's architectural landmarks, creating a "window" into Oxford where students can imagine themselves enrolled with Oxford Scholastica Academy.

After approvals, I focused on shaping the website's information architecture and wireframes, then collaborated on the UI design and production while extending the visual language across ads, email, and course materials.

Website

The website was designed to feel refined, immersive, and easy to navigate, reflecting the premium quality of Oxford Scholastica Academy's educational programs.

Large-format imagery plays a central role throughout the experience, capturing attention while showcasing student life and creating an immediate sense of place.

To help users navigate the academy's offerings, each core program was given its own distinct visual identity through colour and shape. This cohesive visual system creates clear distinctions between pathways while maintaining a consistent brand experience across the site.

Iconography

A custom icon set brings consistency across Oxford Scholastica Academy's course offerings, using a duotone outline and partial-fill style to complement the refreshed and lively visual identity.

Colour

Transforming the brand's previous pastel accent colours into deep and vibrant secondary colours helps breathe life into the brand. The extended colour palette works across various touchpoints, adding excitement, a fresh feel, and inspiration to OSA's young and intelligent audience.
